Mood of Fahrenheit 451

After our mini-lesson on imagery, how does the author's choice of imagery words affect the overall mood of the story?  Does the imagery fit the plot?

  1. I think Bradbury's choice of words are intentional because he wants to create a very oppressive society in which education is limited. The words he chooses to express the conditions of the society are very carefully chosen.
I think the imagery fits the plot because the words create are very dark, oppressive, violent, and detached world.
